Special Initiatives

Looking to the future, the Lake George Park Commission progresses various special initiatives to fulfill the mission of the Commission and safeguard the water quality, recreation quality and scenic beauty of the Lake George Park. These initiatives are in addition to the established regulatory programs of the Commission and serve to strengthen the Commission’s legislative mandate to preserve, protect and enhance the Lake George Park.

The Lake George Recreation Study Plan is scheduled to be completed in December 2006.

A Watershed Protection Plan Governing Tree Cutting and Stream Corridor Management is an on-going project started in September 2006.
